Substations are the facilities located at the connection points between the generation – transmission – distribution networks in the power transmission chain from the power plants to the transfer of electrical energy to the consumers. These centers can act as a step-up transformer center by increasing the electrical voltage, as well as acting as a step-down transformer center by lowering the electrical voltage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
